a glitch is in pokemon platinum wifi, called Acid Weather Glitch
basicly, 2-4 weather elements comes out and hurts EVERYONE on the field(so yea, Rain and Sun COULD hurt all foes o.O)

here is how to activate it:
1) go into a battle on wifi
2) have hail or sandstorm out(from T-Tar, Hippo, or Abomosnow)
3) one person uses persuit and KO's the foe
4) watch the "Acid Weather" commence

other things i learned from chats/videos:
A) if you don't get hurt by the first weather(like Ice in hail and steel/rock/ground in sand), then NONE of the weather hurts you(so if it's hail, a Glaceon takes 0 damage while a Scizor gets hurt by Hail, Rain, Sand, and Sun)
B) i THINK Hail causes 4 elements and Sand is just sand and rain(from like 3 videos, could be something else effects it)
C) when translated, game says:
-in Sand:"(pokemon's name) is buffeted by the Sandstorm!" like, "Starmie is buffeted by the Sandstorm!"
-in Hail:"(pokemon's name) is hurt by its (pokemon's ability)!" like, "Scizor is hurt by its Technician!"

Special Pokemon:
-Clefable(Magic Gaurd)-no weather hurts Clefable
-Golduck(Cloud Nine)-NO pokemon=effected by weather
-Castform-endless loop(sun and rain)(no loop or Sand lead)
-Cherrim-endless loop(sun and no sun)(no loop for sand lead)

Special Moves:
-Weather Ball-becomes the first element used(Hail or Sand)
-Blizzard-i THINK is 100% accurate in all weathers(further studies needed)
-Thunder-i THINK is 100% accurate in all weathers(further studies needed)
-Solarbeam-i THINK takes 1 turn to hit in all weathers(further studies needed)
-Rain Dance-i THINK it has no effect(more studies needed)
-Sand Storm-i THINK it has no effect(more studies needed)
-Hail-i THINK it has no effect(more studies needed)
-Sunny Day-i THINK it has no effect(more studies needed)

Special Abilities:
-Ice Body-heals in weather until HP is full, then it is hurt(accually, full HP=hurt, heal, hurt, heal, lol)(atleast for all 4[Hail Lead])
-Dry Skin-heals in weather until HP is full, then it is hurt(accually, full HP=hurt, heal, hurt, heal, lol)(atleast for Sand and Rain[Sand Lead])
-Sand Veil-(more info needed)
-Snow Cloak-(more info needed)
-Snow Warning-(more info needed)
-Sand Stream-stops "Sand Acid Rain" and replaces it with just Sand, no effect in "Hail Acid Rain"(more info needed)

New Findings:
-Dose work in the English version of Pokemon Platinum
-Does work in Platinum vs Diamond/Pearl
-I BELEIVE that if your pokemon who sets up the Sand/Snow is the one to use Pursuit then the Acid Glitch is NOT activated

So if I have a Scizor and you have T Tar for example and I kill you with Pursuit then it affects me even if you later use Rain Dance?

i saw a T-Tar come out in "Hail Started Acid Rain", didn't stop other 3 elements and still hurt by all elements, so i assume that only a new persuit in Sand or Hail(opposite weather than was out) changes who gets hurt
@your question-T-Tar causes "Sand Acid Rain" witch hurts anyone who is hurt by Sand Storm, so Scizor isn't hurt by it, but "Hail Acid Rain"(started by Abomosnow) does hurt Scizor

most beleive it will be fixed before the 22, and it only effects few battles, won't effect events =)
