Mentor and apprentices

As an experienced battler i am hoping i can get a group of people together to be mentors to newish/learning/crappy battlers i think we have enough experienced battles to pass on some advice and teach the more poor battlers on this forums and make the competitiveness a lot better

This is the same as a site Academy and I like this suggestion cause I've suggested it before.

Indeed. We can assign a group of tutors and then assign them to a group of people who want to learn and then they can learn more.

We do, some n00bs can't learn from battling like the n00bs they are, sorry, not naming names, but it's true. I was one at a point...but I got better from some tutoring by a lot of people...either that, or I still suck. But I support this completely, however, this will not be handy until our active memberbase goes over 100.

i agree with Sonic, we have had teachers/student relationships on this site in the past, no real group is needed for it, if you kids are so enthused to help/be help, just PM eachother or chat in Chimchat
if you want the idea purely to have a color on the site, then i feel you need to re-think your reasoning, if you are a good battler the new kids will notice and ask you for advice, if not, ask the new people if they would like to be taught
so good idea, it has happened in the past, it worked out well(ex:Shitface teaching Maple) so no group needed

For the time being we don't need it, when this site gets large(I doubt it) we may need it, since better battlers will be harder to reach, and help is harder to get. For now, I agree with Sonic, we just go on as is, I think this is an archive, We've had this discussion like 4 times already.

Nobody said to make it a group. You guys are assuming that without nobody suggesting it. I just suggest a new section for it and then we assign tutor like that.

No a forum for it. Look at Smogon's Battling 101 program and you'll see what a mean.

I've seen it, it's the chatbox, same stuff goes on in there.

It's not the chatbox. Besides they have a little tournament for the apprentices to teach them and see if they learned.

regaurdless, i don't feel a forum is needed either, if you want to make post put it in "Pokemon References" other than that the CB/PMs work out fine

A group can be just people. Like the gym trainers aren't official anymore but if someone has 2 then they are a group. Idk what rum meant.
