Purplesurge Chat

Ok to everyone that has ever been on serbbi you know what purplesurge chat is. It is a chat line that has hundreds of channels that link to pokemon battlers and traders. They are not forums or anything like that just chat groups.

My recommendation to this site is that we should create a purplesurge chat for recruiting purposes I know alot of sites do this for recruiting purposes and I think it would help us get alot of new members. I recruited about 10 people off serbii the other day in which about 3 or 4 I see on regularly now.

I think a purplsurge chat would be an easier way for us to get new members to join and such

so im gonna post a poll for everyone to vote please vote and say why or why not you agree or disagree

here is my arguement to vote no:

1) we do get more people seeing the forum and it's members...but we can't control the type of people who come on the chat...we stuggle enough to control our members in the chatbox we have...can we really afford more people who arn't thretened by a forum ban?
B) if we have a chat open to other channels, it might gain non-pokemon fans, the could do such things as spamming the Chatbox with their veiws on why pokemon stink(even though they are false), trust me they will...if my friends had a channel to this forum, they'd come to spam up a pokemon site...hence why my friends aren't here
3) why do we need a new chatbox?!? the old one is perfectly fine...forumotion has had a few problems with it...but we can make temperary chatboxes(not sure if members, such as Oak, will be able to log on at work, or me at school, ect.)

Its not a new chatbox.... I dont know what your talking about I said we make a purplsurge chat to recruit ppl here hence you recruit good ppl that you know and not everyone comes here

by saying this you are making it sound like you dont want new members

um this is a good idea...i think.....but is it adding something...a new chatbox to this site?....or going on serribii and recruiting members..using a channel on there chatbox?...i don't know....and maybe monkey is confused.....and lol yes sxeSeaking...

I know what monkey means about lack of respect and control on the cb as it is.....

it is not adding a chatbox to this site it would be basically making another site that can connect to serbii so then we can recruit ppl from there

Unfortunatly, I cannot access purplesurge while at work, like Monkey said, and out of respect for other people who might not be able to access it as well.

Although, I do think it is somewhat a good idea, not too sure about taking people from other sites, after all that's we try not to do on our own here.

I'm kinda indifferent about this, but if it votes yes, I won't be able to do anything with it, since I cannot access it at work, so I will be unable to add it. Maybe at home, but I hardly have the time to be on here while at home, so Drew might have to do it.

Lol oak thanks yeah it really is sorta like one big site but people make channels off of it like different groups lol
