The eggs theory

When you receive an egg from the Daycare ladies husband, you hate it when you run up and down back and forth left to right, but have you ever thought maybe why it takes so long? I have a theory. Maybe the creators of pokemon wanted to make it realistic, maybe they wanted people to be surprised when it hatched, maybe they wanted to be cruel to us. However my theory is more logical I think. Here it is:
We walk for a long time because we want a pokemon. Some of us breed for natures or IV's (which is part of my theory) Most of us know that you can change the chances of having certain IV's and natures. But no matter what every pokemon has to calculate their IV's sooner or later as well as natures. Maybe while you're running up and down, there is something happening behind the scenes that you don't see. Maybe while you're thumb is sore from holding down buttons somewhere in the pokemon world you're soon to be baby pokemon's IV's and nature, and moves, and many more are being calculated. Of course this is just a theory but my theory on Egg hatching is that while you are running endless laps your pokemon's stats and info are being calculated. Of course I could be wrong, but who knows other than the creators of pokemon.

I think its just the rarer or larger the pokemon, the more time it takes to hatch.

But who knows what they were thinking when they served up the idea of how long an egg takes to hatch!

Or perhaps then the IV's and such are calculated while your pokemon are getting it on lol don't make fun of my theory! and yes I had forgotten about the hackers part...

Thats great thinking lenny, but its already proved false im sorry.
Hackers have developed hacks to see the iv's, natures, ect...even without taking a single step.
I think that its just the type of pokemon vs how long it takes to hatch, but good thiking, you could be right!
