| This is what my team will be if it has an * it means that its done already. I'd appreciate some advise as well please. Tyranitar@leftovers sand stream 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe adamant -stone edge -crunch -pursuit -earthquake due to tyranitars massive attack and stone edge and crunch being powerful and high STAB boost they are good to use the main attack. If you predict a change you can pursuit and EQ if for steels. * Salamence@lefotvers intimidate 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe adamant -dragon dance -dragon claw -fire blast -earthquake dragon dance up then sweep. steels may fancy their chances coming in due to dragon been weak to steel but earthquake deals with them. fireblast is there for skarmory as it has high defence and is immune to earthquake. * Gyarados@leftovers intimidate adamant 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe -dragon dance -waterfall -earthquake -stone edge The sheer power and speed of this set is frighting to say the least. switch in on something that dislikes gyarados and use the switch for a free dragon dance. Depending on the switch either dragon dance or sweep. Earthquake gets rid of nasty electrics that may want to ruin gyarados' sweep with stone edge for flying especially zapdos for its immunity to earthquake. waterfall is for that extra STAB. *(almost) Heracross@choice band guts 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Spe -megahorn -close combact -pusuit -Earthquake Even skarmory fears this, close combact can 2HKO it if guts is activated which isnt hard in the currant metagame with pokemon crippling others everywhere. Megahorn's sheer power with STAB can 2HKO some pokemon that resist it. Pursuit deals with those who will run away and lets face it if they aren't prepared then they most often then not will run. Earthquake deals with fire types Gengar@choice scarf levitate timid 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe -trick -shadow ball -focus blast -thunder bolt Choice scarf and timid with 252 speed EVs gives it a frightful speed. This works well as an effective revenge killer and can also trick opponants that try to set up. Really is a pain in the neck to fight. Gengar has alot of immunities, ground normal, and toxic. Porygon@salac berry modest adaptability 6 HP / 128 SpA / 124 SpD / 252 Spe -nasty plot -substitue -dark pulse -tri attack Porygon has an amazing special attack but his speed has let him down. Switch on to something that cant hurt porygon substitute and nasty plot keep makin subs and your salac will activate with hopefully giving you high spec att and speed to start sweeping. Blissey isnt very effective with its thunder wave and substitue renders it useless. This can even hurt blissey alot. Thanks for reading and please take time to make a suggestion. | |

| well... I think you should have some walls on your team, you just have 4 physical attackers ans 2 Sp. Attackers
I would have changed Gyarados and Heracross to a Sp.Defender and a physical defender

| non of your pokemon can counter a Electric type, Now you are going to say: I have tyranitar so STFU Demon. And i say NO tyranitar takes huge damadge from Thunder/thunder bolt. And if i use Zaptos non of yours can kill it fast enough, it is going to sweep you.
And ya i aggre with Sindre, get a forestress or a Skarmory to work as a wall. Your gengar is fast but still if it gets stick with T-Bolt, and is your last pokemon. You have no chance to take down electiver with gengar. So get rid of choice scarf and get a Focus Sash or somthing. Tyranitar :S, i recommand Rypherior. Higher defence and high attack and amazing Hp. i would say Rypherior. And you have very common pokemon in your team. Try somthing new insted of using what everyone else uses

Ironically, Tyranitar is my first switch into a Zapdos. The Sandstorm boost gives him a respectable base stat of 150. Besides, Tyranitar OHKOs with Stone Edge, which scares off Zapdos pretty easily. But seeing as it is, you're probably right. his Tyranitar has absolutely no SpD EVs. Lol. I don't think Gengar knows Trick unless he's move tutored from Platinum, so I'm going to have to base the rest of your team on the D/P/Pt meta game. Which also means I prefer Outrage over Dragon Claw on Salamence, but its your preference. With such a sweeping team that you have, I'd put Life Orb over Leftovers on Salamence, who gets pwned by Stealth Rock (like the rest of your team, though four of them don't take so much to the same extent). Tyranitar is on your team, which is always a good thing, but its funny how his sandstorm hurts the rest of your team. The residual damage that your team takes is quite horrific, from both Sandstorm and Stealth Rock, which are just commonplace in the meta game. Yeah, none of them are defense-oriented, but most of your Pokémon are still capable of switching in on a resisted attack. Your team overall does have good Pokémon combinations, but even the most offensive teams need some type of wall. Status absorbers, though not as important as the basics of taking hits, is beneficial for any team as well. Stone Edge > Earthquake on Heracross. Earthquake helps against fire types, yeah, but what fire types are immune to STAB Close Combat that does barely less damage but still OHKOs? If you want to use Earthquake, you're better off running around with the UU tiers where non-flying/levitating poisons can be annoying, resisting both of your STAB attacks. Stone Edge, on the other hands, helps you get rid of flyers that are resistant to both Megahorn and Close Combat--especially Gyarados or Salamence switch ins. Putting in Earthquake makes Heracross particularly prone to Flying switch ins and is not as useful as Stone Edge, in terms of coverage. The rest of the movesets are fairly decent. Looks like Gengar is your only revenge sweeper? What a pity, especially for a attack based team. I don't really like giving people too many suggestions, since its like I'm making your team and then if you fail the blame falls on me. But still, I'm just going to say that your team is just a bunch of OU Pokémon that have good coverage and resistances, but defense does not even exist in your team, half the team has an average speed without boosts, which means your team could get completely swept easily + residual damage, and your wording is terrible. I mean really, Gengar is immune to Ground, Fighting, and Normal. If you wanted to sound smart, Salamence needs Fire Blast against Bronzong too, but Skarmory is maybe more of a threat which is why Fore Blast > Fire Fang, though Fire Fang would be the better choice against Bronzong. On Gyarados, Waterfall isn't there for "extra STAB," you should know its his strongest attack when it comes to his offensive abilities, where Earthquake and stone Edge provide the coverage.

| where did you get this team I know you did not make this up.... you should not copy other ppls teams you should think of your own and as far as scarf on gengar demon its a tricking gengar that puts a scarf on one of your opponets pokemon for example you trick a scarf onto a blissey or somthing it basically screws a pokemon like a wall or somthing
and I recomend putting BL and UU in this team .... this is a buch of OU junk if you want to have fun use some BL and UU

| well i think your team sounds good. tyranitars sand stream really doesnt help you out though. but if you want tyranitar then i guess you have no choice. salmence is always good, despite its massive weakness to ice. the attack and speed will do you good. but you already know that gyarados is very weak against thunder and know that the electric type is a very fast type most of the time. if someone went all out in making sure there elect was fast, gyarados would be done for. good moves for it though. heracross is really strong and productive but it lacks special defense especially when its fire or even worse, flying. it you keep it away from them you can probably use it effectively personally, i always hate facing a gengar because they give me so much trouble. they have good special attack and speed. i dont think id go with those moves though. then again im not really sure what moves i would use for it either. id get at least one poison move like sludge bomb in there though. other than that, it looks good. honestly, i really don't know much about porygon z except it falls everytime with one physical fighting hit. it may just be the ones ive faced. i do know that they can be good most of the time. good luck with your team. id make a few changes but if you have the way you want it then its fine. it IS your team, after all. | |
