Pokemon rant

The people in charge of making Pokemon popular again have done a great job. Pokemon was big a few years ago and it's recently made an amazing comeback. A whole new generation of kids are trying to catch them all.
However I feel as though they could do a whole lot better, for one I feel as though they could at least produce a pure pokemon game that bases from the anime, like the actual REAL rivals, like in DP the rival is Paul from Veilstone city but in the game it's some blonde kid (in the anime his name is JUN).

Would be great if you can actually meet Ash and the gang, and capture a veriety of pokemon rather then having to have to trade, i know in some cases you have to trade but think it's a bit unfair that you have to buy both games including the previous RUBY, Emerald, and Sapphire, but think some people havn't got a GameBoy Advance or the previous versions, like me for instance I felt it was unessesary to buy a new console just to play 1 game.

Pokemon Pearl and Diamond arn't what you can call TRUE pokemon games, it's lacking in many ways, some people have lost interest in POKEMON all together becuse it wasn't based from the anime. pokemon yellow was slightly based from the anime, starting off with a pikachu that actually says it's name rather then a weird sound, why can't all pokemon say their names properly?.

many changes to the game should be changed, well thats my view.

a good plan you've made here i myself never saw or felt a decline in Pokemon's popularity and i reckon it sucks about having to get the other games just to fill your pokedex.

Yeah same here, it's nothing like the old versions of Silver, gold and crystal where you can catch all three legendaries, Suicine, Raikou and Entei, the same with Yellow, blue and red, you were able to catch all three legendary bird pokemon, Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno, but now you have to buy both versions of Diamond and pearl along with the other previous versions just to complete one game, It's a bit of a con if you ask me.
With this game and the DS it would be great if they built in a slot that allows you to trade from the first 6 versions, Yellow, Red, Blue, Gold, Silver and Crystal, that way you can fill the pokedex a whole lot easier rather then trying to buy an outdated game to just complete either Diamond or pearl.

To me the game was just a game to play it was nothing like pokemon, they never said their original names, like pikachu saying "Pikachu" which he did in pokemon yellow, it's just replaced with some stupid little sound, why create those sort of sounds when itdoesn't take long to just replace it with what the actually say in the anime.
Sure the game was a success in some parts but it can go through a whole lot more development.

yeah i agree there are only a few pokemon who actually sound as if they are saying their names.

ive always loved pokemon so i have every game lol so i dont really suffer how others do
but its annoying but we all must consider pokemon is a bussiness! they arnt gonna make it easy for anyone to catchem all.
if you want all the pokemon you'll have to but a NINTENDO wifi or a NINTENDO wii or go to an NINTENDO event or buy another NINTENDO game

i woud ie one like yellow or gold and silver again as those were both y personal faves out of all of them and i think if they can do all these great things with graphics they can update the pokemon noises! i mean has anyone played final fantasy on ds. them voices are PERFECT lol.
i wanna gold and silver remake. and a good one dagnabbit.

We all know pokemon is one giant business but It's also annoying, they must think what would attract the pokemon fans, if they made such a game when the pokemon actually say their name instead of those weird cries they make in the same, pokemon yellow I must say was the only game based on the anime, the anime is what got me into pokemon games,

I don't see Paul in the actual Diamond and pearl game when he is the actual rival in the anime, but yet he was replaced by a blonde dude, and I don't see that red hair rival from Silver in the anime, he would have been cool in it, but yet red head and Paul are both the same character design with adjustments.

so in order for them to sell more, the thought never crosses their minds that they might make a bigger seller yet.
And the pokemon ranger game, what a huge dissapointment there.

Omg I thought the same thing, I loved playing pokemon gold and silver , I was like sis check this red hair chick out, and she said it was a dude 0___0 whats with it with dudes looking like chicks? lol but he was cool, I loved stalking him throughout the game, too bad he wasn't in the anime I wanted to know his original name.
