Me and my friend were talking about this yesterday.
The 3v3 battle with the unknown pokes. If you look at the middle one, doesn't it look like probopass/nosepass+heatran? Possibly new nosepass-evolution?

the one beside the weird heatren thingy looks like a rotom.

Ononokusu looks like a Giratina Palika mix.

The middle one on the 3-way looks like a Heatran possibly Weavile mix? (due to colors)

I really hope they have better things in store for us for Generation 5.

yeah, they look like they were stoned, drank some alchohol, threw up, and said "TADA! There you go! 5th gen!" seriously, their gunna give me epilepsy, some either look too much detail or too little, like whats with all the stripes and dots and crap?! it's fuuuuuglyy!!!

The more and more Gen 5 pokemon I see...I like the new Gen more and more. The 3-3 battles needs to limit moves like Explosion, EQ, Eruption, Water Spout, ect. The first two I mentioned with protect could take out 1/2 a team at the cost of one pokemon...that's all your gonna see. The pokemon are alright. The other small changes are better, IMO. It'll be a good under-rated pokemon game.

I just wished they were more creative with the Pokemon.

Well, technically they are being creative. i mean they ARE putting like 100 new pokemon out there and a whole new game. Some creativity had to spark that. But yeah, the artwork has changed over the years...the newer ones look more colorful, "bubbly"...whatever you want to call them. Like Monkey said, some moves are going to make 3v3 battling crappy, but it may be a revolution for better strategy and maybe tier changes? Idk, i think we shouldn't judge 5th gen TOO much before it comes out ;D I'm mostly curious about what their names will be in english..

I actually think they are getting creative. All of the snakes so far in pokemon have been pure poison type...so making a Grass snake is already going down a new path. A fire pig is one I'm shocked took till 5 generations to arrive...I was drawing up my own fire pig in Gen 1 time. A sea otter is a new creative idea. Seeing as how they have yet to do a Pigeon OR a Chinchilla shows that their going after new animals they have missed(maybe I'll see a Dolphin pokemon ). The gear guy and the piggy bank type think are a little plain...but heck, I could name a bunch of others from other Gens who are just as plain. The Fire Yetti, Zebra, and Crocodile guys are 3 new types of pokemon and the Ground/Dark type is a nice new duo typage. The Mantis type one, Taranchala, and Sarcafagus are three Egyption type of guys...and egyption anime stuff was always more taken by Yu-gi-oh than pokemon, I like Pokemon taking that area of the world. The new moles will be compared to Sandshrew and Sandslash...but the second stage looks different enough to me. That's enough for me on this post. Summed up Pokemon went after animals/things from places they missed over the years...I like that so far...we'll see how well they do when the game comes out. Stop beating on Gen 5 before the Japs even get it.

I think that Nintendo just needs to get the rights to the sprites the fans made for Pokemon Topaz, the majority of those pokemon are AMAZING. The only ones that were bad, were towards the end of all the pokemon, I'm guessing their creativity ran out some haha. But all the sprites for Pokemon Topaz looked extremely cool.

Also, I'm hoping they aren't releasing they're "best" pokemon. That would be really depressing, my hopes are still high for Black/White!

mine are a bit low, but also theirs like a whole other pokedex full of pokemon we haven't seen so, yeah, my hopes are kind of high.

My thing is that a lot of these pokemon we have been seeing we can relate to a pokemon that is already around and it shows that they're pretty much just changing one or two things.

exactly. I mean, ofd course I'm going to buy it, and maybe the story line and pokemon will be a bit differant but eh, at least it didn't turn out more Digimon, that weird pinata digimon thingy is fuuuuggly

For starters that is only 3 of the 8 in this post. After just under 500 only able to see 3/8 of the new ones similar to past ones isn't bad. Second thing is other than a few color similarities, walking on the same amount of legs, or 1 similar part...you guys are simply listing random pokemon to me...over 1/2 of the pokemon you said looks nothing like the new guys to me.
FINALLY. No one seemed to mind Gen. 3 when Plusle and Minun not only look like eachother yet Pikachu. Lets look at Beautifly and Butterfree. Febass and Majikarp. Heck lets look into Gen. 1, what they started with. The Nidorans...6 pokemon for the thought of 1. Caterpie and Weedle have the difference of a horn. Muk and Ditto are no more than blobs of similar colors, only difference is what they are made out of. This is all pokemon has ever done and no one said jack shiz before about it. Before you go bashing on Gen. 5 go find something they didn't do in the past.

I ment he looks like a Rotom form. and yeah, I kinda agree, and it also seems that people are making a MUCH MUCH MMUUUCH MORE bigger deal over 5th gen then 1st,2nd,3rd, or 4th gen. I mean, calm down, in the next year or so 5th gen will be considered 'old' and they wiill be branching it out to other games like they did for Ranger and myster dungeon and trowzii and crap. I think they were just hoping for a more futuristic pokemon world, and like the DSi, they took of the GBA slot and some other stuff to fit the Camera. so, I'm guesing they had to make them look a little more cartoony to add the 3D detail and ect. I'm sure it'll still be the same in the show at least. Maybe a few voice changes due to the old ones getting oollldd so I mean, It's all cool to me. I need to chill out a bit too. I mean, It still has a dash of pokemon in them. and my grandma said the same thing about Plusle and Minun about them not being called 'pikachus' so yeah, I agree, and Swalot, Grimer, Ditto, their all just globs of purple whatever.and I still get confused about Beautifly and Butterfree same with Caterpee and Weedle. and Feebas, well, I got them mixed up too. so yeah, I'm kinda glad, and in fact, their starting to look more independant or one of a kind. compared to those mentioned above, the new ones are very different. so heck, I love them! 5th gen! finally something new. let's just hope they don't branch it off 500 times like the last gen before. I just think it might be cool to see the older pokemon in different pixelation styles. and the moves. heck heck heck heck heck, This might be great for a change!!!
