POKEMON PLATINUM ANNOUNCEMENT

POKEMON PLATINUM NEWS!!!


Ok so from countless days listening to people talk on several sites, YouTube, and whatnot
I’ve come up with some research notes I took about Pokemon platinum
And hopefully they are informative to you:


- (date not noted) Pokemon platinum trailer released in Japan

-(August, 2008) CoroCoro magazine in Japan issues the august addition, publishing many pages of advertizing the new POKEMON PLATINUM, and new additions to it.


-(September 13, 2008) Pokemon Platinum released in Japan, several sites allow you to preorder the Japanese versions from the USA, but for me, id rather have the English version...

RELEASE IN USA NOT NOTED ANYWHERE, WILL BE EDITED WHEN TIME COMES


Released information about Pokemon platinum:

-if you noticed, platinum will be a sub generation of the 4th gen. Much like yellow version, crystal, and emerald were to their respective generations. Meaning not a new generation of Pokemon, just a new legendary (Giratins origin form) and improvements/additions to the generation (diamond/pearl)


-If you have Shaymin (the movie version, no other version will work), you can transfer it to platinum and in flomaroma town, you can give it an item, transforming it into SKY SHAYMIN, which has improved sp.attack and speed/ is flying/grass, and has the ability serene grace.

-Rumors have it , that if you transfer the movie regigigas (again, only the movie version), you can unlock 3 secret hiding places for the three Regis. This will be updated later for a more in-depth synopsis.






-New areas include the, ever amazing, Torn world, where it seems you walk and surf at any angle, or on walls. This land looks pretty cool, and adds a twist compared to the places Pokemon usually has to offer.


-A new battle front. is being opened to Platinum, much like the one in emerald IM ASSUMING, so don’t hold me against that one.


-A new game to be played with friends, the swalot poffin game.


-Wifi has become so popular among Pokemon, Nintendo decided to have some fun with it. More people and features have been added to the wifi section of the game.


-Both PALKIA, AND DIALGA are in Pokemon platinum.

-Pokemon seem to have improved sprites, so well see about that one.(note garchomp looks like he is about to jump, and torterra looks a little different, also, blast burn looks a little different...)


-pokemon have different battle animations, not the Pikachu turns back and flashes..



This is going to be one great game!

EDIT:

Its rumored that this will be released early 2009 for the USA
Some say early as in january/february
other rumor spring, so ill update for furthger information

Release in UK is not on web, will be updated
Other release dates will be released as time comes, so please be patient

Volkner, the old 8th gym leader, is not part of the eliet 4 and there is a new 8th leader

The gts/wifi capabilities allow you to send emails to other players via GTS and global terminal!

Aside from the swalot minigame, there is a mr.mime one and a wobuffet one also

New "team galactic" undercover characters lurk around sinnoh

One of the new battle tower options is much like the battle rower option in emerald in which you rent pokemon

The gyms have gotten "makeovers" so dont expect them to look the same inside

New mysterous pokemon have been released:

Nintendo stated that these pokemon cant be obtained during normal play!
Special items are needed to get these pokemon
Which will be distributed between September 28, and November 4
(in japan im assuming)
An add in a touys-r-us magizine showed thi banner
This stirred conclusions that it was an event of some sort
this will be updated....

In my opinion. I thik they should have made a new pokemon adn not a machine but its still really cool!
Here i will go into detail about the new rotom forms!!!!

How to get each rotom- In Platinum. You will get a key to the team Galactic hideout. If you have rotom with you. Go into teh final room. You will see sppliances on teh floor. Just like deoxys, if you go up to them and see. Your rotom will change forms. Here are the different forms and what appliances/moves thay are and get!
SIDENOTE: your rotom will learn new moves. But when you switch. The moves will be lost! (changing forms)

Frost rotom (refridgerator)-
This is the one with teh purple surroundings. From the sound of it. Its a Ice form of rotom! Its new move is Blizzard.

Wash rotom (washing machine)-
This is the blue rotom. He is water type and his new move it Hydro Pump.

Cut Rotom (lawn mower)-
This is the green one. He is the grass form. His new move will be leaf storm!

Spin Rotom (fan)-
This guy is the yellow one. He is flying and his movw is air slash!

Heat Rotom (oven)-
This is the red one. He is fire and his move will be overheat!

If you dont understand the appliance thing i will explain from what i think.
My theory is that the new rotom forms are machines for one reason! The origional rotom was electric. Thus, powering those machines in the room adn rotom becomes the machine!

Torn World isn't a town. It is a different dimension the Origin forme Girantina lives.
To get into the Torn World you have to go to the top of Mount Coronet.

do you know how you will be able to change the form of Shaymin? and or the new Rotom Forms?

Shaymin will be changed through teh item called "Glacia Flower" or something. Correct me if im wrong.
Rotom forms..ill update...ill get back to you on that
