Battle Tower Team

Here is a team that I made quickly for the Battle Tower. I want your thoughts on what I have, but more importantly I am looking for whatever I can do to fix the problems with it. Single battle, 3 pokemon (obviously). This is ment to be a team that I use to get my 100 win streak, as well as for Battle Tower WiFi. Please don't just give me your Battle Tower Team, I want to perfect my own.

Up front I have Weavile:

Item: Expert Belt.
Nature: Jolly.
EVs: 252 Atk, 252 Speed.
Ice Shard/ Fake Out / Brick Break / Night Slash

This is my personal favourite pokemon from this small team. I have had great success with it and have clear-cut my way straight through whole teams on the WiFi (Rank 4). Unless Garchomp is holding a Yache, he is OHKO with Ice Shard. Night Slash KOs Latios after a Fake Out (don't know if it will before). Overall, Weavile has great coverage, the problem is that he is easily KOed and that there is nothing he can do against some of the major threats to my team such as Scizor. If at all possible, I would like to keep Weavile and base the rest of the team around him, but I am willing to switch him for something else.

The next two switch in as I need them to.

Latias:

Item: Life Orb.
Nature: Timid.
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Speed.
Recover/ Dragon Pulse/ Calm Mind/ Surf

Latias acts as my immediate response to a few pokemon that can counter Weavile. When I get the chance I set up with Calm Mind, while Recovering off the damage, and proceed to sweep the entire team leftover. The best aspect of this Latias is that its natural bulkiness allowes it to take a hit. Meanwhile, my investment in the offensive EV spread allows me to plow my way through some of the slower teams. Dragon Pulse gets the OHKO on every dragon that I have used it on so far (haven't tried it on Latias or Latios though), and Surf provides enough coverage that I can hit most enemies with at least neutral damage. One of Latias's best counters is Magnezone, which I don't usually get to hit with Weavile's Brick Break.

Metagross:

Item: Leftovers.
Nature: Adamant.
EV's: (whatever the standard EV's are for most sets).
Earthquake/ Agility/ Meteor Mash/ Explosion

Metagross is my counter for so many pokemon that I don't even want to get into it. It is my only good counter for Scizor when Scizor has high HP (when I can't KO w/ Latias Surf) and without it, I often find myself thrown into the corner. Whenever I can I get the Agility in, but most of the time I need to KO my opponent more because I have no other way to get rid of them. Explosion is put on here because I like to take a pokemon out. then Explode with my lowered health on the next poke taking out two pokemon for my one. Usually, once Metagross gets KOed, I am toast. If you can think of a better pokemon for this spot, you must be some sort of lunatic. I tried a large number of pokemon in this spot (Arcanine, Porygon-Z, Snorelax . . . etc.) and Metagross tested by far the best.


What do you think? Any ideas for me? Thanks to everyone that contributes.

hmm overall for a 3 vs 3 match its not bad at all. i suggest u either put focus sash or life orb on weavile. focus sash will take care of ur chomp problem if they have yache berry, and life orb will give u a little more power. since its so frail and can't take a hit losing the hp from life orb isn't a big deal.

I dont see why you dont have Soul Dew on your latias

Latias doesny have Soul Dew because I never really thought to give it to it. I guess not being able to use it in the OU makes me forget about it. Also, I don't know how to get it. I will make that change though.
