ok its late right now and i don't want to think. lol but chomp OU or Uber and y.

Uber due to ridiculously balanced stats, move pool, ability + sandstorm, substitute and yache berry lol

however i think we should suspect him for a bit due to the changes in the metagame i think he might be killed easier now

yea the thing is with out yache berry chomp can't live through an ice attack at all, so if anything do like with latias its an uber with soul dew. so chomp would be OU but Uber if it has a yache berry.

ok tell me how often does an 80% move miss and no smart ass answer 20%. 80% is plenty good to accurately hit. hell hypnosis hits 2/3rd of the time at 70% accuracy, and i've never had it miss the first time. so if anything thing it might make SS more popular, they r pretty easy to counter.

yes but the whole bright powder issue is gonna come into effect but even with the sub its a hard to break sub =/

how do u figure u can predict a sub and switch i an ice user break the sub if the person doesn't switch they may kill ur poke but u r open to kill chomp next turn. honestly chomp must be a depressed poke people think he is to good for standard battles but he is to weak for ubers. i truely feel for this dragon.

one thing is he causes switches easy allowing him to set up a sub and then go to town =/

Garchomp@Choice Scarf OHKOs Salamence with 1 damn Outrage. Garchomp is OP. He raped OU, and so hes better in Ubers, where he easily outclasses every Phys.Dragon Sweeper except for the tie with Rayquaza.

Red if he takes out a few pokemon easily, doesn't mean he's too good.

red all that means is u need half a brain to beat him. there r plenty of strategies to killing chomp that don't even include an ice attack.

I guess you need a faster Sweeper to deal with him, keyword faster. You don't know if he has a Scarf and therefore outpaces your SpecsZam, or if he's Band and can easily take care of your Salamence, or if he's Yache and Weavile doesn't OHKO and it's dead before it can 2HKO. The problem with Garchomp is that you can beat him with half a brain, and you can't predict how to use that half a brain.

There's plenty of counters in OU. So for the ones he takes out easily, there's ones that own him.

addniim im guessing ur new so welcome, we are making are on tier list here which is basically the same as smogons. the only thing is we r making few changes in sum pokes. what i want was people thoughts on whether chomp should be OU or Uber and there thoughts on y.

If you guys think Garchomp should be in OU, I'm agreeing with you, I never said he belonged in Uber, I just said he's a bit over the top for OU... not over-the-top, but something like Metagross or Salamence.

No pokemon is really truly better than another in a tier as some has their pros and cons that make them stick out. Tiers are retarded but are needed. Tiers are retarded as some of the placements are just because of how many people abuse the pokemon. Garchomp will do good in OU but he won't own it.

to point out if Garchomp is to be in OU then Yache Berry will be banned...i saw red pointing that out in a few of his posts as if it was going to be used in OU which its not

yache berry doesnt even need to be banned to counter garchomp

but that was one of the main reasons it was banned so to keep people from bitching might as well ban it
