Site Clans?

There has been some talk about Site Clans. I know it has been shot down before, but with different members here the idea has been coming back into circulation. Now before someone ask, "Even if we all vote yes, how will you add it Monkey?" Drew promised to add it if it is popular.

The Basic Idea:
We either have new groups, ranks, or the head of each clan records who is in his or her group. We the members then decide to enter a particular group, depending on it's name, members, or banners and such, maybe just two clans to start off. Then the head of each clan, either it's strongest member or founder or something, may divide the group up by leader(s), elite battlers, clan members, or whatever they want to divide their clans into, only the clan if anything would be a user group. Then every so often the clans have "clan wars", these wars are basicly battles between the clan members. If your clan wins, you are part of the strongest group on the site, YEA! I please ask members to handle the battles maturely if the idea gets passed, maturity in the clans is the only way to keep it alive. As the site gets bigger we could perhaps make a third clan and a fourth and so on.

Pros:
Others sites who had a failed gym system have changed to the clans, and their site has grown. It'll provide more oppertunities for people to join into user groups now that our current ones are reaching their limits. Maybe a team of people will inspire more people to battle, you can fight with the people who you just seem to not be able to beat. There has also been some interest in a "Site Acadamy", this can provide older members to take their group members under their wings and show that we could handle an acadamy in the future.

Cons:
People believe that this could tear the site in half. Do we really have enough active members to handle this idea? We have not had this done yet, will it work? Is the site mature enough to handle wars? If people do get pissed off and leave the site for it, can we handle a loss in members?

This idea is up to you Chimchar, your voice is being heard again. The poll is a private ballot, so feel free to vote however and no one will hate you for it. Worse comes to worst if we vote for it and it fails, we just remove it. Your choice Chimchar, yes or no.

i think that we should take out all the Brawl stuff and give each clan its own place to post

post the members and there rank inside the clan

also have a clan war topic where we post the clan ranks depending on clan on clan fights

but have a rule about no fighting about clan stuff in the CB just take care of the fight during the wars

we can set a limit on the number of members in a clan
not a limit like you can only have 10 members but a limit like you can only have 3 members more or less then the other clan to try and keep them even
so if one clan has 10 members the most you could have is 13 and the least is 7

one thing that won't take too long but we'll need imput on if this passes(so keep thinking on it if you like clans) is general rules for them
people have talked about a member limit, clan section, new general rules regaurding maturity, ect. if you want clans think of the rules to keep them in order
i'm assuming this CB Rule can be added on to, or re-written to imply clans if we have them: "5) If you say that the Wii sucks or something similar to that, you will get a permanent ban from the Chatbox. This is because some COOL people gets insulted by this. (Dingen and NorBoyZ)", the |Wii| and |360| things were like mini-clans

If you want my two cents:

Delete the brawl section, and make it one forum attached to something else. Use that new space to create one forum, and two subforums (for each clan). Obviously two responsible leaders. And set a draft of some sort to pick your members (like how the MLB or NBA do it). But that's only if you want to do it.

My own opinion is there's no harm in doing it. As long as you don't make it a big focus so that everyone will get serious about it, there shouldn't be any problems.

This could work with cooperation between members. Otherwise, "I feel indifferent."

i think clans are a good idea the only problem is that every1 waants to be the leader so....

You know what can be fun and keep clans even. We get clan leaders and then members who want to be in a clan enter their name in a pool so the clan leaders can have a draft and select members in a preset order.

Things I think should happen

Clans are cool. Members get to be a part of a group ect. However I think that we should also have something called "Clan Points" And if a clan wins a war they get points and can "buy" things like their own usergroup with a custom color and a private page viewable only by their clan members. Also about the site academy I agree. Delete the brawl stuff. We have little brawlers. Maybe as we expand, we'll bring that back.
