I've been using this team since Diamond and I like it very much for the variety. What do you guys think about it? All these Pokemon are level 100 except for Emboar.

Empoleon, Charizard, Lucario, Staraptor, Emboar, Bibarel

My team for 2 generations 395

Empoleon @ Wave Incense
Ability: Torrent
EVs: Atk/189, Def/220, Sp/166
Nature: Modest
Moves:
Brine
Waterfall
Surf
Hydro Cannon

I find that a good strong Water type Pokemon can stand up to almost every other type, even its weaknesses. I usually send her out first and don't usually encounter any problems.

My team for 2 generations 6

Charizard @ Charcoal
Ability: Blaze
EVs: Atk/225, Def/207, Sp/236
Nature: Careful
Moves:
Heat Wave
Fire Blast
Flare Blitz
Blast Burn

This guy is hands down my strongest Pokemon in regards to attack power. Each move is above 100 AP. He is my "tank" Pokemon. I usually use him when I want to get through an area quick or dish out serious amounts of pain. Up until recently, he knew Fly but I changed it to Flare Blitz so I could play more to his strengths.

My team for 2 generations 448

Lucario @ Expert Belt
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: Atk/263, Def/200, Sp/212
Nature: Quiet
Moves:
Dragon Pulse
Aura Sphere
Focus Blast
Close Combat

I chose Lucario because she has good speed and powerful attacks. I gave her Expert Belt because I wasn't sure what else to give her. Aura Sphere is the move I prefer the most as it always hits and usually does massive damage. I use Focus Blast and Close Combat when I want to finish an enemy quickly.

My team for 2 generations 398

Staraptor @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: Atk/306, Def/159, Sp/252
Nature: Lonely
Moves:
Wing Attack
Fly
Brave Bird
Close Combat

Brave Bird is hands down my favorite move for her. It's powerful and fast and almost always is an instant KO. She is strong but mostly in my party so I can use her for Fly. If she does part-take in a battle, though, She rarely dissapoints.

My team for 2 generations 500

Emboar @ Charcoal
Ability: Blaze
EVs: Atk/202, Def/126, Sp/143
Nature: Quirky
Moves:
Flame Charge
Heat Crash
Flamethrower
Flare Blitz

I just played through White Version and chose Tepig as my starter. After playing through the game I realized that Emboar is one awesome Pokemon. I know I have 2 Fire Types in my party but to me it's worth it because they are both extremely powerful. At the time of this posting he is currently at Lvl. 68. But he will only grow and I'm not sure if his move set will stay the same. I am open to suggestions for Emboar. I usually train my Pokemon to be strong with powerful moves and try to keep their moves the same type as the Pokemon. Emboar is Fire/Fight.

My team for 2 generations 400

Bibarel @ Amulet Coin
Ability: Unaware
Evs: Atk/205, Def/156, Sp/229
Nature: Naive
Moves:
Cut
Water Pulse
Facade
Strength

Bibarel is my HM Slave. I keep him in my party so I can teach it the tedious HMs so as to free up space for the more powerful moves for my other party members. Cut and Strength I will not get rid of but Water Pulse and Facade can go if anyone has any suggestions to boost Bibarel's strength in battle. I rarely use Bibarel in battle unless necessary but maybe it's time he got more limelight.

That's my party. Lemme know what anyone thinks Very Happy Oh and just a point of interest, Charizard and Lucario are my favorite Pokemon EVER! Another reason why they are in my party. Also, Empoleon, Charizard, Lucario, Staraptor, and Bibarel are all infected with the Poke Virus.

If you're talking specifically about a team that is just for playing through the game, then this isn't too bad. However, there are a few problems, in my opinion.

First, nearly all of your pokemon have 4 of the same type of move, like how your Empoleon has 4 water attacks. Even in the game, this is not wisly recommended. You're pokemon should have a move set that will allow it to counter other types of pokemon.

For instance, youre Empoleon, being weak to grass, could take out a grass-type by teaching it an ice-type move such as Ice Beam or Blizzard. By having it know only water moves, you hinder it as well as your whole team.

Second, you have two fire types on your team; Charizard and Emboar. There really is no need to have two or more of the same type of pokemon in your team (the exception is if those same types play a different role in battles). Pick one fire type to have in your team and fill the other spot with a different type that will help balance your team.

Thirdly, I know how important HM slaves are, but they're not THAT important that you should always have them on your team and raising them. An HM can be learned by the appropriate pokemon at any lvl, even lvl 1. Its best to have these HM pokes in your box at a pokecenter and only take them out when you need them. Again, its best to use that slot for another pokemon that will help your team.

I dont mean to belittle you or anything, and I realize that this is just for your game adventure and I certainly dont mean to tell you how to play on your own adventure! I only mean to help by making sure you are prepared to face any situation, especially if you decided to enter into competative battles and tournaments.

=)

ya I decided to remove my emboar from the party Im training a Raichu right now. I also took out my Staraptor and replaced it with Braviary. Now that you mention taking out my Bibarel unless I need it... I kinda wanna put in Haxorus. I think a dragon type would round out my party nicely. as for y I keep moves sets to specific types I like to play to my pokemons strength. Thats why i have multiple types in my party. so I have the pokemon i need with the press of a button. but thank u very much for the input good to have a pro critique my party to help make it better. Very Happy

Is this a ingame based team(witch it seems more structured towards) or a competitive battle based team? I'd like to try and help out either way. Ingames generally get to be more creative while competitive battle teams can survive better in either type of play.
