| Please help.I have a few questions about EV training.Im a little confused. The questions are mainly on getting started.
Im EV training on Emerald since I lost my pearl.Im going to EV train a dragonite in attack, speed and some HP.So i bred a jolly dratini because jolly increases speed 10%.Now before i start EVing my dratini,I have to give him carbos for speed, protein for attack and HP up for hp.1 vitamin is 10 EVs,and the max number of vitamins for each stat is 10.So thats 100 EVs.My first question is,since the max number of EVs for a stat is 252,does that mean that the vitamins subtract from those EVs so that i only need 152 now?My second question is,since im maxing out dragonite's attack and speed and 4 EVs in HP,shoud I give HP up for hp since im not maxing that out?My third question is,after the pokerus wears off in 2 days, does it still double EVs after 2 days? Also, I heard macho brace does the same thing as the pokerus, but it doesent increase speed,so does that mean i can't EV in speed with it?
Thats alll for now.I tried to be as specific as possible but if you don't understand something ask. Thanks for your time to clear my confusion.

| well for your first question i belevive the answer is yes also you dont need a vitamin for hp its just a waste of ev points all u need to do is get the 4 points yes after it werars off it still works and macho brace is not the best thing for spd eving but that dosnt mean that you cant ev train | |

| Hmm thats sucks that you lost your pearl...
Anyways. Here is what you do.
Give your pokemon 10 vitamins, making 100 at ease. Meaning you only have 152 Ev points left. With that done it should be easier to EV train. Since 3rd generation dosnt have the Power items, macho brace will do. Macho brace doubles the Ev's your pokemon will get. So my sugestion is to use pokerus and macho brace.
For 252 attack: Kill 38.5 (38 or 39) Trapinch (found in desert) with macho brace and pokerus
For 252 speed: Kill 38.5 (38 or 39) Magikarp (old rod) with macho brace and pokerus
For 4 hp: Kill 2 Wismir (Rusturf tunnel) with no macho brace, only pokerus
And your dragonite should be maxed out.

Lol. Well i just thought id be easier ot understand. Yes you can, it only reduces its speed in battle, has nothing to do with the actuall base stat.

| You've made it sound alot easy lol just kill 38 pokemon and you will max out your stat!!!!doesnt that sound easy, cool, and understanding?!? lol anyways i think ill battle poochyenas instead of trapinch for attack since there more common and for speed i think ill battle wurmples wich are also common and found on route 101 with poochyenas!! | |

Well once you get the hang of it, it can take less then 10 minutes per pokemon! But the price for the Simplicticy is that there are TONS of pokemon to be Ev'd, and the time adds up.. Well good luck on future Eving.
